He received the National Natural Science Foundation for Distinguished Young Scholars in 2002. \n\u003cbr\u003eYue-De Yang is Associate Professor at the Institute of Semiconductors, Chinese Academy of Sciences, China. After his PhD in physical electronics from Institute of Semiconductors, he worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, China. His research focuses on the design and the fabrication of microcavity devices.
