Close Encounters : An Alien Affairs Novel, Book 1

Kiera Smith wants one thing out of life - to be normal. But when the Bureau of Alien Affairs commissioned a rogue geneticist to create a special GEP agent with empathic abilities, they got more than they bargained for. Stronger, faster, smarter, and more impervious to damage than her brethren, Kiera is a genetically engineered person unlike any others. As a special agent for the Bureau of Alien Affairs, Kiera's official job is to enforce the Equality Edict. Unofficially, she is a first contact specialist, spy, diplomat, and enforcer. Newly arrived on Orpheus Two she's been assigned to protect the indigenous Buri race from the none-too-honorable conglomerate, Dynatec. And it's just the challenge she's been looking for: take down the largest independant trade company in the Galactic Federation and save a race of aliens from extinction, while resisting the advances of the unnervingly handsome Buri leader.
