Product Description

Bandholtz was America's representative to the Inter-Allied Supreme Command's Military Mission in Hungary at the end of World War I. Hungary placed a statue of General Bandholtz in front of the American embassy in Budapest; it was removed during the years following WWII and replaced after the fall of Communism. This is his diary of his six-month assignment to Budapest. It was originally published in 1932 with an introduction by Friz-Konrad Krnger, by Columbia U. Press. The current text is based on that publication but was re-edited. Editor Simon provides the introduction. This publisher specializes in making available out-of-print books using Ingram's Print-on-Demand technology. Production standards are acceptable. Annotation c.
