Ayra is the monster who slays monsters, a fate thrust upon her by her ruthless brother, Calder. Forced to wield the power of the reaper against those she was once sworn to protect, Ayra is bound by an unbreakable curse. As a deadly reaper, her mission is clear: hunt down and eliminate rabid werewolves before they can destroy their entire kind. But there’s a dark twist. Calder, obsessed with exploiting the werewolf power to expose them to the world, risks unraveling the fragile existence of their species—unless Ayra can stop him. Time is running out. The weight of her curse is only amplified by the return of Vidar, the childhood crush who has been trained by monks to guide and protect her. Now, he insists on joining her in this dangerous mission. But is it her he’s truly after, or the power of the reaper that pulses through her veins? Caught between duty and desire, Ayra must navigate a future that seems impossible. The fate of the Norse gods hangs in the balance, and if Ayra and Vidar can’t put aside their unresolved feelings and fight together, they may not only doom themselves—but all of their people. The clock is ticking, the enemy closing in—and only one thing is certain: Someone will die.
