Book of Thistles : and other prickly subjects

Part memoir and part environmental history, this book describes the cultural and social life of thistles through essays, facts and fictions from the authors life, poems, and play-inspired scenes. It describes types, such as yellow melancholy, hardhead thistle, and Russian thistle; legislation related to the thistle in Australia and elsewhere; fighting against thistle; thistle as food; and unique types. Earlier versions of some essays were previously published or presented elsewhere. Distributed in the US by ISBS. Annotation 2017 Ringgold, Inc., Portland, OR (protoview.com)
