Deathtripping: The Extreme Underground

This work profiles the Cinema of Transgression, an underground post-punk film movement primarily based in New York and associated with the work of Nick Zedd. The filmmakers of the Cinema of Transgression may radically differ in style and content but they share "a desire to challenge and confront the audience, society, and perhaps sometimes even themselves." Ten filmmakers are profiled and interviewed and an appendix reproduces three film scripts. Annotation 2010 Book News, Inc., Portland, OR (booknews.com)
