The 'Escape to the Future' of the knowledge society, initiated in the 21st century, calls into question the thesis of a bright future for human/student and teacher-centred education. Hence, this book should be considered as one of the first, in-depth reflections on the necessary changes in education, which should lead to its full compliance with the needs and expectations of the emerging society 5.0. The authors, introducing the reader to the world of promoted ideas and educational trends, in a way draw him/her into a discussion on the desired shape of education of the future. An education whose humanistic values will become a stable signpost for the new generation in a world of developing new technologies, crises and challenges.
